Music has been Katja's companion her whole life. She made her first studio recording when she was 7. While still in primary school, she attended several international festivals in Bulgaria, Russia, Macedonia, Croatia, Denmark, Poland, Morocco etc. Slovenian audience was treated to her original songs she performed at different festivals (Melodije morja in sonca, Korajža velja) and published on the promo album Prijateljstvo (Friendship).
